I’m 2!

Josiah just turned 2 years old last week! This year we have the privilege to celebrate his birthday with both our families. We first celebrated with my family on Chinese New Year Reunion dinner, as the next day we were flying off to Sarikei.

After the dinner, we just brought out a cake courtesy of my sister Bree, and sang him a simple song. Josiah really loved it when he got all the attention and when we were singing him the song, this time he understood that this was his big day. In fact, after we sung the song, he asked for more.

He also couldn’t wait to cut his birthday cake before we even managed to light up the candles.

Josiah tried to blow the candles, but of course, we still needed to help him to put out the light.

In Sarikei, we had the actual day celebration over a free meal at the restaurant that my sis-in-law had her wedding dinner. There were 2 tables extra, and all the relatives got together to finish up the dishes over lunch the next day, and we took the opportunity to celebrate Josiah’s birthday again with the family.

Although we never had the party this year, celebrating it with our closest family seemed really meaningful.
